This April has seen a number of EU project-organised events. Among them, BioAgora hosted a virtual information event titled ‘Connecting Biodiversity Knowledge & Decision-Making’, followed by the GREAT project Final Event the subsequent week. B-Cubed had the chance to attend both events, leveraging them to gain insight from the projects’ activities and explore future collaboration opportunities. 

BioAgora’s informational event facilitated a dynamic dialogue on the intersection of research and policy-making within the EU, drawing in over 150 participants including EC policy-makers and representatives from more than 70 EU-funded projects. The event showcased various avenues for collaboration with BioAgora, offering attendees valuable insights into potential synergies. Find out more and watch a recording of the event here. 

Attending the GREAT project Final Event helped understand how B-Cubed aligns with the Green Deal Data Space (GDDS). Opening remarks by policy officers provided clarity on the policy landscape shaping digital transformations in Europe. Presentations on the GREAT project outcomes outlined achievements and conceptualised progress towards the Green Deal Data Space objectives. Engaging discussions during the "Implementers' Perspective" session offered diverse insights into how stakeholders across sectors perceive the development of GDDS and anticipate its implications.
