27 November 2023

In an effort to harness the power of technology for biodiversity conservation, B-Cubed has opened its doors to creative minds worldwide with the launch of its Hackathon. The project invites participants to submit their project proposals by the 17th of December.

B-Cubed’s hackathon aims to experiment with data cubes and channel creativity into innovative solutions for a variety of biodiversity challenges.

To help participants grasp the concept of biodiversity data cubes and inspire innovative ideas, B-Cubed has released a promotional video, decoding what a data cube is and how it helps biodiversity monitoring. This visual resource serves as a valuable tool for participants looking to enhance their understanding of the technology and its potential application in their Hackathon projects.

The Hackathon is open to individuals and teams with diverse backgrounds, including biodiversity informaticians, researchers, practitioners and students. Submissions are accepted until 17 December here
