This November, B-Cubed was presented at the INSPIRE conference as part of Session 9: Research and innovation integrating multi-source environmental and location data in the Green Deal Data Space. The session, organized by the coordinator of our sister project AD4GD, aimed to highlight the importance of the combination of thematic and geospatial location components as a key aspect of EU data spaces, and the environmental data space in particular. Among the attendees were various environmental research and innovation projects and stakeholders, focused on delivering innovation in infrastructures, tools and data sharing for the Green Deal Data Space.
B-Cubed’s partner – Damiano Oldoni from INBO – shared an overview of the project, highlighting the interaction with other data, the technical aspects related to the production of the species occurrence cube and the FAIR aspect. Alongside B-Cubed, similar projects were presented, such as FAIRiCUBE, AD4GD, LIH, GeoE3, USAGE and the OSGeo foundation, in order to increase visibility around data-related innovations.
