A new B-Cubed result is now available on the Horizon Results Platform. The feature helps translate biodiversity data into structured outputs that can support monitoring, modelling, and policy development.
The species occurrence cubes feature allows users to generate downloadable summaries of GBIF-mediated data based on taxonomic, spatial, and temporal dimensions. Additional variables, such as IUCN Red List category or life stage, can be included by refining the underlying SQL query.
Designed to make biodiversity data easier to use and reuse, the cubes are delivered as tab-delimited files with full metadata, including SQL queries, contributing datasets, and DOIs for citation. This supports transparency and alignment with FAIR data principles.
The Horizon Results Platform is the European Commission’s portal for showcasing results from EU-funded research and innovation. It provides visibility for scientific outputs and supports stakeholder engagement across sectors.
