Living Data 2025 session: Building the Data Foundations for Biodiversity Action to support the KMGBF

15 May 2025

B-Cubed partners are organising a session at the upcoming Living Data 2025 conference, focusing on the future of biodiversity data systems to support the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KMGBF). Researchers and practitioners are invited to contribute oral presentations, lightning talks, or posters addressing the data needs and infrastructures required for effective biodiversity monitoring beyond the 2030 targets.

Deadline: 20 May 2025, 23:59 COT (UTC-5)

Session ID: 6798638

Session title: Beyond 2030: Building the Data Foundations for Biodiversity Action to support the KMGBF

Organised by Andrew Rodrigues (GBIF) and Lina Estupinan Suarez (German Centre for Integrative Biodiversity Research – iDiv), the session will explore how collaborative networks, data innovations, and scalable workflows can support progress tracking and evidence-based action in the coming decade.

This is an opportunity for the B-Cubed community and wider biodiversity informatics network to share key outputs and insights that contribute directly to the KMGBF implementation.

Early bird registration for the conference is open until 15 June 2025.
